Visit to the park
FormuleStroll through a park and its gardens restored in the spirit of the 18th century
Enjoy the atmosphere and ambience of the various 18th century gardens
Discover the various period buildings built for pleasure: an orangery, a theatre, an aviary and an ice house, framed by gardens that highlight their architecture. Play with the Abel and Steve application, these two friends guide you through the various parts of the park. On the cultural side, the open-air exhibition organised each year highlights the natural spaces thanks to the creations and installations of contemporary artists chosen according to the themes.
At the back, the "wilder" and wooded part, composed of very diverse species, creates a landscape that is relatively rare in Belgium. By extending your walk, you will discover the commemorative column of the Battle of Seneffe (11 August 1674) and admire another viewpoint.
Water was also an important element in the development of 18th century gardens and the Seneffe Estate is no exception with its pond and romantic island. Not forgetting its large basin from which a 15-metre long jet of water springs and all those which adorn the gardens. As for the river, it has been restored to its original course in the spirit of the landscape and history of the period.
The park is maintained according to the principles of differentiated management, a sustainable commitment that favours biodiversity adapted to each space.
