The golden triangle

Exhibition

From 14 May 2019 to 8 November 2020

We are in the 18th century, in the studio and shop of a Master silversmith in the heart of the city. To whom will he deliver his next piece of work? The court abbot? The château owners? The lady spy? With whom does he have a quiet word? The successful writer? The freemason? How does he keep in touch with the popular mood? Through the apprentice plasterer or at the tavern?Become a spectator of the lives of fourteen characters from a range of backgrounds. Experience fourteen encounters in different settings of the period. Each character in the exhibition will tell you his or her story through the objects, paintings, decorative items and books on display. Each one represents the thinking of the time, and the Master silversmith is at the centre of these encounters
